Under what Conditions?

When conditions are in balance plants grow, systems work, humans thrive. But throw in turbulence, harsh conditions and stability is tested, at best.

Right now the pendulum swings wildly. We need all of our systems in synergy if we are to pull ourselves together. To rise up to the possibilities of our better Selves, which we must.

Gandhi did not say “Be the change”, but what he did in fact say was: “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him… We need not wait to see what others do.”

So, to paraphrase…”Be the change”. :)

And, there’s really no “if” because we can always find a way if we choose to. Part of my nature is to speak too swiftly, not always take enough time to completely think a decision through. But, in acknowledging so, it’s already changing. I can Mindfully choose to slow down. Ask more questions, ponder longer, see and understand more clearly. You?

My passion is people (and dogs :). Sharing life on many levels. Often, during physical movement and exploration. The body (all of its mind blowing magnificence aside) is our Past. It holds our stories, around which we’ve created beliefs (some true and some questionable). It also houses our experience of the Present. How well it carries us forward is primarily up to how we care for it now.

So yes, conditions can be challenging but what are you doing to ensure you Thrive? That you are able to carry out your purpose, your passion, to rise up?

Choose well. A wise person said…”We don’t rise to the level of our Goals…we fall to the level of our Habits and Systems.”

What is one thing in your nature that could use a tweak? Acknowledge it without judging (hardest part, right!). Commit to one daily small step to take you in the direction you know will serve you (and Others) better.

Little steps add up to big change...under any conditions. Keep it Simple. You've got this.
