After taking pilates with a variety of instructors over the years, it was only until I worked with Myriam that I felt I really learned how to understand the specific movements and their purpose. This has made for a much more mindful and effective workout. Myriam's extensive knowledge of the human body and ways to stretch and use the various muscles has pushed me into a new level of fitness. I hate to run. I was a jock my whole life, I hated running. I just wanted to play the game. Back and forth on the fields, didn't seem to be a problem...back then I hated running. Now I love to run. I no longer want to run back and forth on the field, I want to run because it is good for me. It feels good, although it is sometimes hard to make it to the park. There are so many other things that need to be done. But when I get there...we walk, talk, laugh, and oh yeah run! We solve problems, we invent things, we write business plans. We support each other. Did I mention we are not supposed to talk. So we clear our minds, we don't make lists, we reach for our own goals. Myriam is such a blessing. I showed up because it was an exercise class, but in many ways it is a life class. But my legs, butt and abs also look fabulous! Now that is the ultimate in multi-tasking.

I have been a runner for more than 25 years until 5 years ago when I developed major knee issues which made it too painful to run. At the time I was participating in another Boot Camp, and my orthopedic doctor told me it was time to find other ways to exercise. Being the hard-headed stubborn woman I am, I started searching for other ways to exercise AND RUN – which was when I found Myriam. She taught me Chi Running and within a short while I was back to running – PAIN-FREE- on beautiful trails in our local parks. I also feel a stronger core by incorporating Pilates training with Myriam. Although I am the oldest of the group, with Myriam’s help, I am proud to say I can still keep up with the younger women and I love the camaraderie we all share while encouraging each other to stay fit.

I've been attending challenging fitness classes conducted by Myriam for over a decade. The classes were mainly in a dance studio at a local fitness club. With Myriam, whenever it was possible, we'd take the class outside. To me, there is nothing better than being outdoors when I exercise. Participating in Myriam's "Alfresco" fitness classes, takes my fitness level up several notches. It's the perfect mix of cardio and strength. The best part for me is, we start our mornings early, 7:00 am. It's the perfect way to begin the day!

"I have been working with Myriam, at least twice a week, for the past 4yrs and I can't say enough. Her passion for prevention keeps her hungry for an even better understanding of the body. She loves to share her knowledge and customize to your own needs, which really makes the most sense to me. She is very gentle, kind and honest, all at the same time. Though she teaches me so much about my own body awareness, she also inspires me to just "be" and to love me. Her energy is so awesome to be around, you really should experience her for yourself!
