Our mission is to offer an environment of support and well-researched information that will provide each individual the tools for their personal goals of true health in the areas of body, mind & spirit. This is elemental fitness based on holistic and sound practice; focused on developing body awareness and cultivating a positive outlook and optimum mental health.
Our belief is that nature draws us into a place of focus and a state of relaxation that many of us lack in our daily lives...a primal connection.
Meet Myriam
Having the privilege to do the work that truly satisfies my soul is not something I take lightly. Since 1989 I have had the pleasure to offer my services as a conditioning specialist and personal trainer to many wonderful individuals from all walks of life and of all ages. What I have learned along the way has brought me to the development of Elemental Fitness, which is based on sound teaching taken from the most current research and individualized to each participants needs.
During my time as a writer for Dummies Online I became acutely aware of the conflicting information available to individuals interested in self improvement of a holistic nature. My goal with the information on this site is to provide you with well researched articles and reviews, as well as links to reputable sites for your own personal searches.
Like your own, my journey towards a fitter life has evolved. As much as I enjoy personal training, teaching Pilates and ChiRunning®, I always prefer to take the experience outside. Most of my sessions are now offered alfresco and it is with great satisfaction that I see the same release I feel reflected in the faces of those participating in these outdoor classes!
All sessions are infused with Pilates, ChiRunning®, ChiWalking® and strength training, as well as a time of quiet or meditation. Along with the alfresco classes offered at local parks and outdoor venues, I take great pleasure in teaching Pilates, both on the mat and equipment in private, semi-private and group sessions. My enjoyment of running led me to Danny Dreyer and his method of ChiRunning®. This technique is now taught in all of our alfresco classes for injury-free movement!
